We are a specialized provider of drug and alcohol prevention, treatment and recovery programs, psychological and psychotherapy services, corporate wellness programs (CWP), research and training to individuals and groups. We offer inpatient treatment, individual and group therapy and teletherapy care. We are a non-profit mental health institution under the auspices of the Capuchin Franciscan Order in Zambia, established as direct intervention to emerging mental health challenges in Zambia especially alcohol and substance use disorders. The Minister of Health Hon. Silvia Masebo MP launched SWC on 17th November 2021.

By affiliation, SWC is a member of the Psychology Association of Zambia (PAZ), International Society of Substance Use Professional (ISSUP) focusing on the provision of drug use prevention, treatment and recovery programs, and other mental health related services to the community. Some psychological interventions we use include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Common Elements Trans-diagnostic Approaches (CETA). Well-trained and experienced personnel apply these interventions in therapy sessions with individuals, groups, families and communities.
